Clasifis.com is a project a friend and I are working. We met in school and after I graduated, he helped me get a job at MiCasa.com . After I worked there for two months, he left and then I did too. Why? well the owner of that company still owes me a months pay. That is why I left.

So, we were out of work and we started talking one day about project ideas. He had the idea to make a clone of Craigslist.org in Spanish. We started talking about hardware and software schemes we could setup that would allow us to run the site from one or multiple DSL connections.

We came up with a hardware and software scheme that we would work toward. We built the site from the ground up using C#, ASP.NET, MySQL, Visual Studio. NET . We basically used Craigslist.org as our model and built our site to copy its basic functionality.

As of August 15, 2005, Clasifis.com has not been officially launched. We started this project mostly as a learning experience and we have both learned alot. About two months ago we both found jobs which has greatly slowed us down. But the site is nearly ready to launch, we just need to finish up some odds and ends (mostly UI). We are looking forward to launching the site and providing the same wonderful service in Spanish that Craigslist provides in English. As well as getting some hands on website marketing and SEO experience.
