ANSWER: Bring Me Exactly 7 Cups of Water

h1 Tuesday, February 21st, 2006

I will give you two containers…
One holds exactly 3 cups, and the other holds exactly 5 cups.
I want you to go to the river and bring me back exactly 7 cups of water using those two containers.

The containers are not measuring containers, they have no markings. All we know is that they hold exactly 3 cups and exactly 5 cups.
You can’t estimate either. You must bring back exactly 7 cups of water.

How do you do it?

THIS IS ONLY A TEST

I’m just testing this audio-player plugin …

Listen to some Air Bach… (if it works)

ooo.. that doesn’t sound too great..
Oh well the plugin works great though… I’ll have to put some of the music I made a long time ago on this site…

Thank you Feed2JS

Feed2JS is a nice little service that helped me get a little job done quickly. I wanted to make my “Visitors” section on the sidebar (scroll up or down maybe, you’ll see it) look like the rest of my site. Blog Flux Mapstats provides an of my last 25 visitors (the cities) and with Feed2JS I was able to get some code to use the rss. This gave me more control over how the cities appear below.
Don’t know if everyone will understand what I’m talking about here, but anyway…
Thank you Feed2JS

Blog Flux rocks!!

This is a great service for bloggers to track where visitors are coming from (in cyber-space and physical-space). The following link will show you a map of the world and all the locations (cities) from where someone accessed my site (at least the last 25 visitors).

http://mapstats.blogflux.com/12826.html

You can find this link always at the bottom of my side bar. And I know a have “Visitors” section in the sidebar showing the city names of the last 15 unique visitors.
The map is from Google Maps, which is a great map web application example of .
This is a nice feature for any blog and I plan to add it on my other blog sites. There are more great services that Blog Flux offers for free. If your a blogger, check them out at BlogFlux.com

The definition of “Meta” (Graffiti Art Canvas)

h1 Thursday, February 2nd, 2006

A while back I had a job interview with a man who… well… I think he wants to take over the world! (but that’s a story for another day maybe). Anyway, he was very smart, he asked me some of the questions that will show up soon in the section. He also introduced me to the word “Meta”. It was a word that interested me (and I liked the letters and the word), so I did a of it. According to one entry on Dictionary.com “meta” means…

“A prefix meaning one level of description higher. If X is some concept then meta-X is data about, or processes operating on, X.”

For example, a meta-discussion would be a discussion about a discussion, meta-information is information about information. A meta-painting would be a painting of a painting (I guess).

A painting of the word \

Spray Paint & Paint Pen - Ready To Hang

This isn’t exactly a true “meta-painting”, but it is a painting of the word “Meta”
